Our History
Crest Cleaners has been family owned and operated since it’s inception almost fifty years ago when Jack and Evelyn Glidewell opened the first location on Fiske Boulevard in 1963. Several years later they opened their second location on Courtenay Parkway in Merritt Island. Their daughter Judy Houston and her husband Lang arrived in town in 1966 and started managing the two locations and eventually purchased them from Judy’s parents. Over the next 20 years, they grew the business into 9 locations throughout Brevard county. Lang and Judy’s sons Keith and Kevin were born into the business and now run the day to day operations, expanding Crest Cleaners to 11 current locations.
